Libby for Amazon Fire tablets
Libby is now available to download from the Amazon Appstore. Going forward, patrons with Amazon Fire tablets should download Libby directly from the Amazon Appstore instead of manually sideloading the app.
Users with OverDrive’s Libby Android Package File (APK) already installed on their Fire tablet can continue to use that version. If you would like to switch to the Amazon Appstore version of the app, you can follow these steps. Note: Users who switch from the APK version to the Amazon Appstore version of Libby may lose their Libby timeline activity, search history, and app customizations. They will not lose their loans, holds, or tags.
OverDrive app reading history in Libby
You should be able to see your borrowing history from the OverDrive app and the library’s OverDrive website available on your Timeline in Libby. This update will allow patrons to keep track of all titles previously borrowed from our digital collection in one place. Learn more on Libby Help.
Support for additional languages
Libby now supports these additional languages: Korean, Malay, Tamil, Danish, Icelandic, and British English. Review Libby Help for a full list of supported languages and steps to change your language in the app. Note: This update does not affect the languages of the content in the electronic collection.
