Who Are the Friends?

The Friends of the Harborfields Public Library is a non-profit organization that has been supporting the library since 1970. They are a group of dedicated volunteers who work in cooperation with the Library to provide financial support for programs, special projects, and items that further enhance library services to the community.

There are several programs offered at the library that are totally or partially supported by the Friends membership dues, fundraising activities, and the proceeds from the Friends' Little Book Shop. These programs include the Sunday Concert Series, Adult, Teen and Children's Summer Reading Programs, and other special programs throughout the year.

The Friends meet on a monthly basis. Meeting dates are announced in the Library Newsletter. Your membership in the Friends entitles you to receive preferential registration for special Friends-sponsored events. You will also have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping the Harborfields Public Library!

Friends’ Little Book Shop

The Friends' Little Book Shop accepts gently used books in good condition for resale. They do not accept textbooks, Reader's Digest condensed books, magazines or encyclopedias. The Little Book Shop has numerous children's titles, adult fiction, and non-fiction.

Little Book Shop Hours:
Tuesday and Thursday, 10am - 4pm
Saturday, 10am - 2pm

2024 Holiday Craft Fair: Vendor Application

Friends Holiday Craft Fair
Friday, November 15 & Saturday, November 16
10 AM - 4 PM

To be accepted as a vendor in our 13th Annual Friends of the Library Craft Fair, your product must be original, handmade, unique, or a repurposed craft produced locally. Complete this form to apply for a space in our Fair.

RETURNING VENDORS: COMPLETE APPLICATION AND PAY INVOICE BY AUGUST 30, 2024.

AVAILABLE SPACES WILL THEN BE ASSIGNED TO NEW VENDORS BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 3, 2024.

NEW VENDORS: COMPLETE APPLICATION ANYTIME. IF YOU ARE ACCEPTED AS A NEW VENDOR, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN INVOICE AFTER SEPTEMBER 3, 2024.

The fee for the two-day event is $120. Most vendors will be provided with a six-foot table and a chair. One-day spaces are not an option.

Membership Levels:

  • Sponsor, $35 (includes Friends tote bag; Resident & Out of District)
  • Family, $20 (Harborfields Resident Membership; Required for Longest Table)
  • Senior, $10 (Harborfields Senior Resident Membership; 65 years & older)
  • Out of District, $25
