Event Details

There are more than 70,000 acres of recreational and wooded parkland spread across Long Island, from Queens to Montauk.  Jeanne Schnupp, the Savvy Sightseer, will take you on a video vacation exploring five very different parks and preserves. Included in the presentation will be Alley Pond in Queens, Christopher Morley Park in Nassau, Connetquot River, Caleb Smith and David Weld park in Suffolk.  You will learn how these parcels of land escaped development and became public places, each with a unique history and story to tell.
