Registration for this program will begin on May 1st. Challenge yourself with an exciting game of Chess. Participants will get basic tips and strategies as they play one-on-one with an experienced teen volunteer.

*IMPORTANT* When registering yourself or your child for a program, Harborfields Library cardholders should select  YES to "Do you have a library card?"  If the Adult program requires residency, non-residents will be placed on a wait list and permitted to attend as space allows.  All Children's programs requiring residency are limited to Harborfields patrons only. 

Due to the high demand to attend Children’s programs, please notify us or follow the link in the confirmation email to cancel your registration if you are unable to attend. Patrons on the waitlist will be notified if a space in the program becomes available.

Teens Connect

Several programs each month are focused on community service projects.  Participating Teens earn community service hours. 

Event Details:

Partner up with a 1st to 5th grader and teach them the game of chess.  Earn 1 hour of community service.  Space is limited to 4 volunteers. Please register.
